Areas of Responsibility: Patient Meal & Late Trays
- Review the daily assignment sheet for delivery and pick-up tasks and greet the coordinator.
- Ensure that the plate warmers are filled with the correct dishware and that they are powered on.
- Collect bowls, lids, sanitation bucket, utensils, and any other necessary supplies.
- Take off the plastic film from the pans on the steam table.
- Refer to the steam table diagrams to confirm you have the right utensils for each food item. (It's crucial to provide patients with the correct portion sizes).
- Examine each tray ticket carefully.
- Strive for 100% accuracy – every hot item listed on the tray ticket must be placed on the plate in an organized and appealing way.
- Keep the food hot by preparing one plate at a time and promptly covering it with a lid.
- Empty and sanitize both steam tables.
- Other duties as assigned.
Tray Assembly Expectations:
- Ensure precision.
- Review tray tickets thoroughly.
- Every item listed on the tray ticket must be placed on the tray.
- Utilize the appropriate silverware and dishes (whether disposable or not).
- Trays should maintain a tidy appearance.
- Each item must occupy its designated spot on the tray, consistent across all trays.
Requirements:
- Clean Criminal Background.
- Must pass e-verification.
- Bilingual/English-Spanish a plus.
- Essential qualities include empathy, effective communication, patience, problem solving skills, active listening, time management, and adaptability.
